Raynox DCR-250 Super Macro + Fujifilm XF80mmF2.8 Macro Lens

Need more than 1:1 for macro and don't want to use rings? Few notes about Raynox DCR-250 & Fujifilm XF80mm F2.8:

1. Very easy to mount on XF80 lens with regular UAC2000 adapter ring from Raynox.

2. AF is working fast on XT3 camera. It's easy to catch some moment even in 2-3 seconds. AF and OIS of XF80 + DCR-250 helps to do some handheld shots more easy.

3. AF working distance is in the range around 7-13cm from the front lens.

4. The front thread on the Raynox DCR-250 is 49mm. It is easy to mount ND filters needed for video.

5. In regular aperture range 5.6-11 I guess Raynox DCR-250 Super Macro does not affect the sharpness of XF80.

6. Raynox DCR-250 adapter ring and DCR-250 lens and filter mount thread are made of plastic. I would prefer metal at least for threads.

Few samples are below. Native light, handheld, no processing except crop and exposure.

The width of the jumping spider is around 8 mm.

Scarlet pimpernel flowers

The width of the flower is around 8 mm.

The width of this small bud is around 7 mm.

The large bee-fly. Feeding and approach time <3 seconds.

Cheers!

Miroslav
