Short Throw 135mm?

I've used several MF 135mm lenses over the years. They all suffered from one shortcoming, relative to the way I shoot. Specifically, the focus throw was very long, more than 180 degrees in every case. I know some photogs like this because of the precision it allows, but it's problematic for me. I like to "get to the point" with the focus ring and take the shot.

So, is there an economical 135mm lens from years past that's known for having a short focus throw? I'm not looking for a Zeiss or anything fancy, just something well-made (like most of the older lenses) with a short throw that I can adapt to Canon.
