It was a new kit, so I imagine it will come with a cap. It should be here within the next week.

I've already positioned what I need to do. I have a box of step-up rings along with various miniature wide-angle hoods. I've got 39 MM filters.

Before I purchase any camera system, in particular these smaller ones, the first thing I look at are filter sizes, will it require a hood (I always put hoods on my lenses, even if I have to customize being able to do so with step-up rings, etc.

Of course, as is the case with any "new" kit of a camera that has been out of circulation for awhile, it's all a gamble. So far I've been fortunate. If this was another brand camera, I would not have done it. However, since I'm so enamored with various Samsung cameras, I had to jump on this NX Mini.

I bought mine so cheap that I didn't care it's out of production.

The original owner said that it didn't bring a cap, that's why I ask. It's probably not a regular cap because the filter thread is very shallow.

The 9-27mm's IS works really well allowing for very good IQ, at the wider end, in low light with static subjects.

Even found an extra original charger and battery for us$10. The same battery model was used for a galaxy S phone. BtW , the battery life is very good. I've never needed more than one charge per day.
