Thanks for the comparison.

I own a RX10IV and as mentioned by other users, enjoy the all round versatility and IQ of this camera.

In comparison to the 7D images however, I prefer the softer bokeh of the larger sensor 7D compared to the RX10IV. Particularly when isolating wildlife from messy backgrounds.

As an example, images 2,10,12,13 & 15 from your set illustrate this.

I have been able to get softer bokeh using my Sony but the background needs to be further away from the subject.

In the end, it is a case of personal preference. Compactness and versatility versus subject isolation and Bokeh. M
