Also unlike the DSLRs, AF tracking means much more on MILC, because it's widely used not only for sports and action, but also for shooting portraits. And generally AFC speed in Sony is better than AFS, which makes continuous AF more important.

The tests above were realized in wide spread center focus points. The camera chooses the point of focus, which kind of makes it easier. I subsequently tried the spot focus point, central and settable. The operation is not as smooth (more incremental), but still ok.

As for portrait mode, I have not run into the focus loss issue mentioned above, but I did not do an extensive testing nor on moving subjects.
