How do I focus on infinity? looking for capturing the starry sky advice

I have a PEN F, and would like to get shooting a night sky when camping.

However I've tried in the past to do this and found my photos are not in focus.  So I suspect the issue is focusing on infinity, but haven't the faintest idea how to do this.

I'd either be using my 25mm at F1.8, or my 9-18 zoom at 9mm f4  (prefer this due to the FL but recognize the lens isn't bright enough).

Also, for either lens, can anyone recommend settings in order to achieve the best results?  Would you simply set up manual settings, or would you do a live composite?

I won't likely spring for a wide angle prime given this isn't something I'll do much of, but would like to have fun with it!  So in other words,
