The profile built into the lens firmware when importing RAW into Lightroom only corrects chromatic aberrations.
To edit distortion and vignetting, use the lens profile of the program.

Yes, this is what I've always understood, and it's how all my other lenses work. But as I've shown in my example photos, it looks like the Sigma lcp is correcting the distortion and double correcting the vignetting, resulting in bright corners (image #2).
