Movie Mode Settings independent from M/S/A/P Modes

Hi there,

This is my first post. I searched for similar previous threads in the search bar but I found nothing so here I go:

My name is Alberto, I'm a Spanish part-time photo/videographer. I'm a former Canon user.

Let's say I am taking some pictures in the "Aperture Mode" and I'm using "AF-C", for instance.

Then, I turn the wheel to "Movie Mode" and I change the focus settings to "Manual Focus".

I film an interview. A guy sitting down while people pass by behind him. I finish.

After a while, I go back to "Aperture Mode", where I had left my focus settings set to "AF-C".

But... it's been changed to "Manual Focus" too, because that's what I did in "Movie Mode".

***My question is:

Is there a way for the Sony A7III to make photography modes' (M/A/S/P) settings independent from the Movie Mode?

Like the changes I make in Aperture Mode don't affect the settings in Movie Mode?

I must admit I'm a bit overwhelmed with all these menus and options and "you can't do this" notifications in the Sony Alpha 7 III. I know it's a great camera but I'm still "taming" it.

I'm studying more now than I did in college.

Thanks in advance.

P.S.: Forgive my English in case I made any mistakes.
