Only the really "long" ones, though; "1200m" to "3000mm", especially "3000mm".  At 300-600 "mm", they offer no capture advantage.

I've been mulling over getting a Nikon P1000.  It will be noisier than my DSLRs at wider angles, but no Lens and TC combination is going to give the pixiels-on-subject of the P1000 at "3000mm", and the entrance pupil isn't that much smaller than typically-used telephoto zooms on larger format cameras.  539/8 is a relatively big entrance pupil.
