RP vs 5D Mark iii

I’m in the process of figuring iut what camera to but after a year and a half or so without one, so I’m making the rounds on the forum for help in choosing.
The RP is on my list since I would like to buy a small full frame camera (I may end up buying aps-c camera again instead) this go around, but don’t have a big budget.
I would like to know how the RP compares in image quality, AF, etc. to the 5D Mark iii since I rented one with the Canon 24-70 2.8L USM II years ago and loved it for the most part.
At the time the only camera I’d owned other than a point and shoot Fujifilm was a Nikon D70, so I was amazed at everything about that camera. Some of my and other people’s favorite photos of mine were shot on the Canon 5D Mark iii. So if the RP is in any way similar, I think I might really like it, albeit with a cheaper lens.
My EOS R was supposed to be a back up to my 5DMIV. Four months down the road, I sold my 5DMIV. R is now my main camera and the RP is my back up. They're that good.
