"Full frame" vs crop

The SL2 / SL3 are tempting, but a used 6D mark1 is almost in the same price range.

While it may appear to be obvious, bear in mind that the 6D is a "full frame" camera and the SL2/3 are crop cameras.

The SL2/3 will give you a similar experience through the viewfinder compared to any current Sigma digital camera (1.6 [Canon] vs 1.5 [Sigma] crop for the detail oriented).

The pixel density of the SL2/3 is more in line with the 5Ds/(r), so there is more to crop away than the 6D.

You will need longer lenses to get the same framing with the 6D compared to your Sigma or the SL2/3 cameras. I don't believe in a generic "1.6x crop factor" because it doesn't take pixel size into consideration, but in general, the need for longer lenses is accepted.
