FE 55mm f/1.8 ZA chromatic abberation: Is this normal?


I recently switched from Canon to a Sony a7R III with a used 55mm f/1.8, and I see a significant chromatic aberration effect. I noticed CA for a while, but it was the first time today the CA generated is disturbing. (Is this axial CA?)

Here are what I observed:

1. Usually, it happens at highlight regions,

2. For distant objects, correct focus adjustments can reduce it

3. It always looks like purple-tint below and green-tint above.

I noticed some posts here regarding this issue, but I am not sure if the extent of CA here is normal. Thank you!
