couldn't take a photo for my child in the swimming pool

with my Nikon D850 + Nikkor AFS 70-200 FL-ED lens attached, I couldn't take a good photo for my child while he was swimming in an indoor pool at night (not good enough light in the place), I used the following settings:

- Auto Focus (ON)

- AF Mode: AF Continuous Servo Auto Focus (C)

- AF Area Mode (According to the D850 manual ): Dynamic Area AF with 9- or 25-point which ideal to shoot objects that move predictably.

- no tripod

- Aperture Auto exposure (so the shutter speed gonna be set automatically)

- Apertures tried: 8 & 11 (both failed and resulted in fuzzy images)

the problem was mainly because of the light was not enough to produce a good sharp images for my child, because the camera auto selects a slow shutter speed (1-2 seconds) to gather enough light.

my question is: how can I take a sharp image for my child while he's swimming in these conditions ?
