Sigma 60-600mm on A7RIII (vs. Sony 100-400mm GM + 1.4x)?

I'm interested in the new Sigma 60-600mm for its impressive sharpness at 600mm (according to reviews) but am concerned about AF performance with the Sigma MC-11 + A7RIII. I'm currently using the Sigma 100-400mm + MC-11 and AF struggles while tracking subjects. However, I've read that the AF on this lens isn't great even on native bodies being a contemporary lens. I'm hoping that this 60-600mm being a "Sport" lens may outperform the 100-400mm Contemporary in both AF and sharpness.

I'm assuming the Sony 100-400mm GM + 1.4x teleconverter will be better in AF tracking but does anyone know how IQ fully zoomed compares? The Sigma should also have an advantage in low light being f6.3 at the long end vs f8 on the Sony GM w/ 1.4x.

Thoughts?
