HI all, 8m an experienced photographer who recently purchased a G7. I have been shooting with Nikon for over 30 years.

The EVF on the G7 is taking a bit to accustomed to. Is there a way to turn of the feature where the EVF adjusts to the exposure settings? While I’m sue helpful at some point, it’s current throwing me off.

Thanks,

Just to clarify as it is a strange question on this forum How is the viewfinder showing whether your shot is correctly, under or overexposed throwing you off?

Ian

It’s no where near accurate to the actual image that’s captured. Now that I know how to turn it off I should be fine. Plus I’m pretty old school, so even if it was accurate I would find it annoying.

Interesting because having owned a lot of Panasonic cameras I have always found it very close to my expectations.  I won't say accurate because I can't see anyway how you can compare what you saw through the viewfinder when you took the picture with the finished picture.  Surely it can only be perception and just the process of using a viewfinder will no doubt make your brain function differently to say looking at finished article on a big screen.
