I can't speak to the X-T10, but I do have the X-T100 and the 15-45mm lens. It's been a great combination. (HERE is a report of a recent trip I took using that combo with pics and links to galleries.) I also took along the Rokinon 12mm, and it too is an excellent lens that is fun to use.

I also use Pentax gear, so I have a bunch of M42 lenses. A few things to note:

  • There are two types of adapters for M42 to Fuji X. There's a cheap (~$5 on ebay) one that works fine. You can also get a ~$25 one that has a "Macro Focusing Helicoid" which allows for more flexibility in focusing distances.
  • Neither the X-T10 or X-T100 have in-body stabilization. Without a tripod, I'm good to shoot up to 75mm or so under decent conditions.
  • With that in mind, it's a lot of fun to shoot with those tasty old M42 lenses.

The JPG output on the X-T100 is indeed excellent, and you do have the option of some different film simulations. You may want to tweak things to your preference. I am able to get better results using the RAF files and processing them in Lightroom, but the JPGs should be more than sufficient.
