I was in Vienna last week with my X-T100 that I switched to from Nikon D7000 mainly because of weight. In general I'm very pleased with X-T100, however, I miss "ever readyness" of a DSLR. Next time I'll switch off the standby mode on X-T100 and keep the viewfinder always ON to see if battery survives that.

I hope you like the frontal oriented series below.

Nice photos but...

Don't go into standby mode. It's faster to turn on the camera than waking it up from the "sleep" aka slumber mode.

Note that the camera doesn't like being turned off and back on immediately. It needs a few seconds in between. Even then, it's faster that the slumber mode.

Not sure about that, might be sd card dependent imo!

Here's was my attempt to time it, towards the end I get a successful attempt lol, it's less than a second, quick, with a very fast card! lexar gold 2000 uhs-ii.

I use both the SanDisk Extreme Pro 32GB SDXC UHS-I (95/90MB/s) and SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB SDXC UHS-I (95/90MB/s). I have not timed them but I'm talking between 1 and 2 sec, while to wake up from the slumber mode, I'm talking about the 10 seconds range.
