And the lens does really well wide open. As I said, the only weakness I could find is some coma. If you want to go for portraits, then I doubt you'll have many small in-focus light sources to deal with.

As for the 35/2, I tried it out for a weekend and it is a really nice little lens but that's about it for me. I don't use the 50mm equivalent very much and much prefer the 23/2 as my all-purpose walk-around lens.
