XT100 + 27mm for Everyday Photography?

The 27/2.8 has the old focus motor, which isn't the fastest one, but works very well on my X-T2. There is still some hunting every now and then, so I expect it to perform quite a bit worse on the X-T100.

I definitely considered the XT20 as they are both around the same price on the grey market right now. And an even smaller plus for the XT100 is I absolutely love the gold color scheme. None of which are dealbreakers in the grand scheme of things, of course.

There's no real tangible difference between the jpeg output between the Bayer and the X Trans is there? The image quality on DPR's test scene shows both are pretty exceptional.

Yes, in terms of output you will have pretty much the same images if you just look at SOOC images.
But when it comes to performance, the X-T20 has a more advanced focus system, more focus points and better video performance. If burst mode is relevant to you, the X-T20 is also faster and has a bigger buffer,

X-T100 has the selfie screen, which the X-T20 doesn't have and slightly better battery life, according to Fuji. But I honestly think that CIPA battery ratings are absolute BS.
My X-T2 is rated for 340 pictures and I almost always get at least twice that much
