Travel kit - OMD M5 mark ii
1

Really enjoy taking photos while traveling, and was one of the main reasons I switched to MFT. I currently own the OMD M5 ii together with following lenses:

  • Panasonic 12-32 mm.
  • Panasonic 25 mm 1.8. I don't intend to bring this one travel.
  • Olympus 40-150 R.

For the next trip, I was thinking about complementing with one more lens. While traveling, I prefer avoiding lens swaps. I was thinking about the Oly 12-40 to make life easier and maybe bring it as the only lens, but the focal range largely overlap with the Panasonic 12-32 mm. Would that investment really be worth it? I don't feel weather sealing is that crucial.

As an alternative, I am thinking about getting something at the wider end, as I feel that 12 mm on the Panasonic sometimes is not enough (interiors, architecture etc). In that case, I would look for a Laowa 7.5 mm, or maybe one of the zooms but they are super expensive.

What do you think? What lenses do you bring on travel and which one lens would you invest in in my scenario?
