Hi Brian!  You can buy a Google Cardboard headset at almost any electronics store or department store.  I've also seen them occasionally at a dollar store (for around $6).  you can also buy one from Amazon.
If you happen to have a Samsung S6 or above, I would highly highly highly recommend getting a samsung gear VR instead.  Huuuuge difference from cheap google cardboard vr because of much better head tracking.
And sorry if I'm jumping the gun here, but i'm anticipating that you might also be interested in how to capture photos and videos in VR.  A very good camera for doing that is called Insta360 EVO.  Here is my review:
