Top bottom is commonly used for VR

Top bottom format is typically used for 3D 360, and sometimes for 3D 180, for viewing with Google Cardboard or other VR headset.  Did the images appear warped toward their top edges and bottom edges?  If so then yes those are top-bottom stereoscopic equirectangular 3D 360 format.
