Hi Guys,

After 10 years of waiting I decided to upgrade from Canon 7D to Canon 6D mark II.

Because I had Cropped body, I need to replace two lenses:

I do not shoot often (20k photos over 10 years), But I shoot:

  • My travels(Hiking, camping, going on family vacation by car or by plane)
  • My kids school events (for myself) (Dancing, new year parties and similar)
  • Walking in a town and taking photos of buildings, churches, bridges, castles (Inside and outside)

So What lens should I take, to replace my 17-50 Tamron without IS? (I've never had a lens with IS so I don't know how usable it is). Also I think that usable ISO 3200 on 6D mk II over current 7D ISO 800, will give me two stops. So maybe I can take F4 IS?

I think for architecture, landscapes and traveling I should buy:

And what general purpose lens should I take?

I head a lot of bad opinions about Tamron SP 24-70mm F2.8 Di VC USD G2 focus problems, build quality and how it deteriorates after years of use.

So what would be your advice, knowing that I also have:

Thank You a lot!
