Real world X-T3 autofocus?
2

Hey all, I've been lurking here for a while curious about Fujifilm, coming from Micro 4/3 after a mostly happy 8 years with the system. My needs have change a bit though.

For most of my time I did a lot of action and sports photos with Nikon DSLRs. I supplemented with M43 but gradually I did more travel and landscape at which M43 is just fine. I don't use DSLR's anymore at all now.

Now I'm getting back into moving subjects and less travel. My M43 cameras are just awful at tracking moving subjects but they are honestly pretty good for other stuff. Even the new flagships are frankly not reviewing well for moving subjects.

Full-frame is not on my radar. I would hate to go back to those big expensive lenses. So what does that leave? The X-T3 seems to be exactly what I want. The DPR Videos say the X-T3 is "almost as good" as a D500. Can anyone say for sure?

Here is my dilemma - switching systems is really painful. I would do it though if the improvement is there. Or I can pick up a used Nikon DSLR and a couple lenses and supplement M43. But I would much rather stick with one mirrorless system. The Fujifilm slightly larger size and lack of IBIS bugs me a little but I'd rather have more photos in focus. Any advise here?
