Leica Q2 Interesting Artifact in Black Frames

I have checked this with multiple cameras.

Here is a 100% crop from the "center" of Leica Q2 black frames (as shown in the PhotonsToPhotos Sensor Heatmaps):

The artifact is very obvious in a single frame but I've shown 16 stacked images to make it even more obvious.

Here's a cute 3D plot:

My theory is that the rear element of the (integrated) lens is close enough to the sensor to make an observable thermal effect on the sensor.

What's your theory?

BTW, I usually just describe these as "false color" images but the color does have meaning; toward red is "hot" and toward blue is "cool".

I think this shows as slightly off center because I show the center of the sensor data without regard to any unused columns. Probably there are unused columns to the right.
