Which filter adapter and variable ND filter for my RX100V?

OK, so I want to shoot video in 24fps and 1/50 and mostly wide open f/1.8.

Outside, even in moderate daylight I'll be way overexposed with the built-in ND filter. If I understand correctly, it only provides 3 stops of control.

My question is:

1. What's the best filter adapter kit to get for the RX100V? From what I can tell, lensmate seems to be pretty popular and lightweight as well, which is very important to me for backpacking:

2. Should I get a variable ND that will provide full light control or get a variable ND that I would use in conjunction with the built-in ND filter? Do you think the built-in ND filter is made of decent quality optics, or should I just turn it off altogether?

I ask because I need to know how many stops of light control I will need in a variable ND. I have my eye on this one from Breakthrough Photography

but it only has 6 stops of light control.  A quick test outside revealed that I needed to set my aperture to around F10 (nearly all the way closed down) when shooting at 1/50 shutter speed.  If I use the built-in ND at 3 stops, then maybe 6 stops would be enough.  Otherwise, I'd need a 10 stop variable ND.

Recommendations?
