Agreed. I highly doubt that Olympus sold more product in the film era, especially in the 80-90s, when they were one of the last manual focus holdouts.

That's SLRs. At the same time, Olympus was on top of the P&S game.

I do think we as consumers are going to have to stop expecting semi-annual product launches though. I would not be surprised to see moving to 5+ year product cycles again, like the film era.
