FZ300 battery drains when stored without use

Hi all,

First time post. I purchased the FZ300 some 4 months ago, since I wanted a better camera for holiday pics. Last year I went to Alaska and Canada and felt stupid afterwards for not having a good camera with me (my phone, ehm.).

Anyway, I have been playing around with the FZ300 and like it a lot. Feel I still haven't scratched the surface. However, I may have found an issue. I left the camera without use for some 5 weeks. The battery was at some 70% when I left it. Then when I took it again it had completely drained. I understand there may be some ghost drain due to the onboard clock etc having to be kept running, but I wouldn't expect it to drain that much. Is that at all normal?

TIA for replying!
