RAF Museum Hendon

Took a day trip to this aircraft museum last October and just finished sorting through the photos. It's a great day out if you're an aviation enthusiast.

THowever, from a photography point of view, it's a pain. It's cramped and difficult to get good views or angles without other competing/distracting stuff in the frame. Hence a lot of the (IMO) better shots are close-up detail shots. Also, the aircraft are illuminated by a combination of lighting; flourescent strip, daylight, and coloured mood lighting. White balance was an absolute nightmare and some correction of colour tinting was required. In many cases I converted to BW and I have to say I think these results are better.

A selection is posted here, there are some more more in the album

All shots taken with K5iiS and either kit lens or Sigma 10-20/f4, processed in Silkypix.

Thanks for looking, and comments are welcomed.
