35/1.4 ZA sharpness vs 50mm 1.4 planar

Hi,

I was checking my 35/1.4 ZA for decentering problems and while it is inconclusive I did notice that the lens sharpness, contrast, color and "pop" compared to 50 1.4 Planar is IMO pretty noticeable.

I shot side by side shots of similar test subjects and 50mm at f1,4 to f8.  I shot newspaper on a wall and a wooden tissue box with intricate designs on it.

I still think the right side is slightly decentered on the 35mm but I am travelling and do not have a test chart etc. to do further tests.

I have been using the 50mm significantly and when I switch to 35mm I notice the difference.
Do you know why the 35mm does not have the quality of the 50mm at similar price from same manufacturer?
