Sensor Cleaning

My 5D often needs dust specs cleaned off the sensor. I've read that the sensor surface is  glass, and that makes me wonder if a keyboard vacuum with a brush attachment might work. I haven't seen any that were quite the right size or shape, but I'm sure there's a model somewhere that would fit. Is this a bad idea? Is it a method that's known not to work for some reason? I know the wet method works best for difficult specs, but it would sure be great if I could clean the sensor sometimes by just wiping a vac brush across the surface.
