What shutter speed needed to freeze the moon?

The moon is easy... Proper exposure for the foreground at might not so much. The vast majority of shots that show moon + landscape are composites (shhhh its a big dirty secret)

Moon: manual exposure manual ISO  Starting point: match shutter speed and ISO (1/400 ISO 400) f/8 Adjust as needed, histogram to far right without clipping. Adjust WB for the look you want because AWB will likely fail.

Second shot - expose as needed to get the right look.

Compose in post.
