What about a 90mm prime?

I'm traveling with my spouse to Europe and would like to know if I should take my 16-35 GM or Tamron 28-75 there. I may end up bringing both or the 24-240 but was thinking I should try to pack as light as I can, as my focus is leisure. Inclined to take the GM as I don't want to miss out on scenic photos. Hopefully 35mm will be good enough for environmental portraits?

16-35 GM is a no brainer but I wouldn't take a second zoom. 90mm or 135mm would be a lot better in my opinion. When it comes to prime you have a lot of latitude in term of size, feature (macro) and speed.

Personally, I think a macro / portrait lens is a great addition to a wide zoom.
