Personaly, I love visiting the African Continent. I've been to Morocco, Kenya, Tanzania twice, Botswana, Namibia and returning to Namibia again this year. There is far more to the African continent than just wildlife. I've never worried about catching any disease while travelling, only took Malaria tablets once and never had any issues. I've also been to India, Peru etc and truth be told, you can can just as sick in those countries.

Self driving through Namibia one can see vast deserts and dunes that drop off into the ocean, a smaller version of the Grand Canyon, kayaking with seals, Spitzkoppe, and yes wildlife too.  Driving through Namibia where you are may see one or two cars every hour is a pleasure in itself.  It's a fantastic country.

If anyone thinks that the African continent only has wildlife, they are sorely shortsighted.
