SD Quattro H slow performance

Last night I did a fashion shoot, and I tried using the SD Quattro H, which did admirably well, looking at the photo I did shoot, but I hardly used it, because of its slow performance. To me that's sad, because when I had a Nikon D810, the SD Quattro H actually makes better photos, to my eyes, and I'd prefer to use it, though I found that I didn't . . . because of slow performance. I suspect that the new camera will offer faster performance, and if so, that will be a very good thing. Right now the Nikon D810 is just SO much faster, that the Sigma seems almost unusable. I would have to make a concerted effort to shoot with the Sigma, and apparently I didn't do that last night. I'm actually a little sad that I didn't though. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I didn't have a shorter lens with me. (I was shooting with my 70-300 again.) Maybe I should get the Sigma 24-135, which I'm liking more and more, on my Nikon.

Don't get me wrong, I love my SD Quattro H, and it's a lot faster than my SD1 Merrill, so it's a big improvement, but it's still just no competition for "action" shots, or even for shooting fashion in a studio environment, as far as speed of operation goes. I look forward to see how fast the new L-mount camera operates. Even a little speedier operation would be welcome by me.
