Thanks. I'll get the M6 even if I'm a stills shooter and not interested in video. Some reviews say the M6 is a vloggers dream and M5/m50 better suited for stills but I need portability and the M100/M6 tick my boxes in that way.
Ironically the M6 has a few silent firmware upgrades making it superior to the M5.
Considering you have an A7 and you're not big on video, the only thing the M6 II would offer would be the better AF for tracking (sports). The M6 can btw, it's just not as good. Smooth Zone or Single point with AI-Servo work better than say L+Tracking (auto) on the M6. I gather as an A7 shooter, AF modes don't bother you though. M6 should tick the boxes nicely as such.
Thats right. I need a lightweight package for travelling to Istanbul and Bulgaria with good IQ.
If you're looking at adapting the 55-250 lens, I will say that it isn't especially lightweight or small, I just got one yesterday to use on my M6-
Still, with the native lenses it's extremely compact and I can't see anything about the camera that I would want to wait for an upgrade on, sounds like you've already made up your mind so enjoy it!
Thanks. Yes, I think it will be M6.
I can only confirm that the M6 is a great camera in general, especially for travelling. To my mind the only issue is the ISO setting on the back wheel. I have shifted it to the upper wheel, then ISO can be changed easily by turning the wheel with the thumb. Good luck
Thanks. Will remember that
