I'm wondering if it's easy to build a 3D viewer like they had many years ago. The think the lens might be hard to find unless you use two small magnifying glasses.

Build a viewer, what for? I have five slide viewers. Most bought used from eBay.. Two red button Realists, one Wollensak, one Revere 22, and two Realist electric green button models. Depends on what you are viewing I guess. You need two matched achromat lenses in cells. A focusing mechanism. An interocular spacing mechanism. A holder or comparable for the images. I guess one day it may be possible to view the results of a Fuji W 3 in a hand viewer. OLED technology would make that work.

Again, I suggest that gear is not the problem. If LG would make at least one TV with a passive system I would have bought it last year when I upgraded my TV. Funny, since my Sony Blu Ray can handle 4K Blu Ray and 3-D of all kinds. The 50s boom had problems which have been handily fixed in current movies. Seems that people - well lots of people- do not care for stereo cinema. Makes no never mind. We do. The enthusiasts will keep at it, as in their conventions. Which are worth going to, even if only just one convention.
