If the M is too small buy a DSLR . Isn't the whole purpose of the M was small size?

To me, the whole purpose of the M is Mirrorless. I purchased the M5 because I wanted to use my Canon EF glass on a Mirrorless camera and NOT a DSLR (2x 5D models of which I already have). I would actually prefer that the M5 was the same size as my Samsung NX-1, which fits comfortably in my hands. A small base plate for the M5 would probably make me very happy. Canon obviously realized this is a concern for enough people that they are now supplying base plates for the new camera.

I guess.

IMO once the M becomes the size of a small DSLR the reasons for its existence comes into question.

The RP is about the size of a Rebel. The M becomes that size you might as well buy the RP.

You're so wrong.

Adding a thin base plate does not significantly alter the overall size advantage, if that's your real consideration.  Just compare the side view of the M50 and the Rebel.

The reason I bought the first M was because I could adapt other lenses like my FD macros. It came with the EF adapter and the FD adapters were under $20.

Size really wasn't the issue.

I was just joking about the small hands thing, but some people take offense at every turn of the page.  It's a way of justifying their pettiness.
