. Us old vets showing our medals...Kodachrome can be kept up..but it is tough to keep it from deterioration. See the history of old movies and their restoration. Digitization is available. But it aint easy.

One other thought or question: What is the salient need 1) New Gear or 2) New desire for the appreciation of images and films in the third dimension. I am thinking the latter. Perhaps the desire is marginal. If so, and Fuji and LG probably agree, then they will put their engineering talent elsewhere. In the '50s for a few years, 3-D was really really big. And available to a large segment. Before that it was as now, in the hands of a narrow group of enthusiasts. Who would buy costly cameras and twice the glass plates and use a hand viewer passed around...so yes, it came and went and came and went. Now of course there are other amusements. No kid is free of a smart phone . Or a game. Perhaps the gaming industry will lead the way...into a resurgence of 3-D. Not holding breath,,,

"Lots of nice old film pics from the group. It seems so strange seeing color photos from the 50s in 3d. Nice."
