The CINERA does that. Although you need the VR accessory for extended battery life. The built-in battery is not designed to run it for very long.

If Cinera from photos is a piece of headgear however light, I suspect people will find it a burden as they do from any accessory worn or carried. I could be wrong.  A systems approach will be needed and we still await one.   The passive TV that could be used very well with light glasses is not out there for most of us...a missed opportunity unless you nabbed on.  And of course the movies in DVD Blu Ray hi def have not captured everyone as the makers hoped.  Interesting.
