I enjoy 3-D movies. I would have bought a home stereo TV if they did not die out of the market. I never had a problem wearing glasses to see a well made story in depth. I found the movie Gravity much better in depth than flat and I saw both versions. I do not know about the economics. I expect that Avatar II will be shown in 3-D. One improvement that helps is when a theater has enough lumens so the polarizaton does not dim down the picture. It does seem that movies in general are not getting the viewership they used to. So I guess I am not surprised that this latest iteration is losing popularity from a marketing standpoint. It is hard to get excited about a showing at 1030 at night....I am disappointed to say the least. Cost of making and showing has dropped. We enjoy 3-D sound, so it would seem that stereoscopic movies would command interest. A puzzle as suggested.'

I also enjoy watching movies in 3D.

I wish they would create computer monitors that can playback movies in 3D. Some video cards have 3D built in but unless you want to see something cross eyed in 3D you need a 3D setup with glasses and 3D monitor.

In New Zealand there is not a big demand for 3D in cinemas so they only show a 3D movie for one week and show the2S version the rest of the time.
