Re: 3D vision seems to come and go

I enjoy 3-D movies.   I would have bought a home stereo TV if they did not die out of the market.  I never had a problem wearing glasses to see a well made story in depth.  I found the movie Gravity much better in depth than flat and I saw both versions.  I do not know about the economics.  I expect that Avatar II will be shown in 3-D.  One improvement that helps is when a theater has enough lumens so the polarizaton does not dim down the picture.  It does seem that movies in general are not getting the viewership they used to.  So I guess I am not surprised that this latest iteration is losing popularity from a marketing standpoint.  It is hard to get excited about a showing at 1030 at night....I am disappointed to say the least.  Cost of making and showing has dropped.  We enjoy 3-D sound, so it would seem that stereoscopic movies would command interest.  A puzzle as suggested.
