I feel that Canon just pulled too much out of the RP and that price really is the only thing going for it.

I do hope they don't discontinue the M line.

I'd be more interested in seeing them trying to build upon and maximize the abilities of the M system.

What about a 1dx MK II equivalent in terms of function on an EOS M PRO for $1000? Any takers? Keep it the size of the original EOS M and allow hotshoe EVF for those who would like to bulk it up.

One possibility is that Canon will eventually try to make the M the mass market successor to the Rebel. For consumer DSLR owners the M advantage is size, weight and quality at about the cost of their old DSLR.

Any higher-end features the M is given will likely happen only for competitive reasons because Sony released them first in a 6000 series camera. I do not believe there will ever be an EOS M Pro camera, but if there is I will buy it!

I would hope they won't discontinue the rebel series either because it is the original dslr. Also it's gone thru so many refinements it's pretty much perfect in it's range at this time. But smaller market what can u do.
