Optimizing a Surface Pro 6
1

Hoping someone can help me here. Recently purchased a Surface Pro 6 (i5, 8gb Ram) for use with Lightroom. I know it's not the top of the line specs, but I read a lot about people using the exact same for LR with no issues. I'm working with 24mp files and basically only slider adjustments, with dodging and burning using a local brush in LR; that's it. I really want to like the device but it seems a lot slower than anticipated; lag on loading photos, zooming etc. And when adjusting the sliders using the pen, it won't actually move the sliders until you make and adjustment of +/- 30 or so, meaning you have to over-adjust and dial it back down (quite annoying). I'm just looking for some tips on how to improve performance because from what I've read it should be doing better than this.
