Recommendation for battery for SD1 Merrill

Hello folks,
it is some years ago (3-4) that I asked here in the forum the same: A recommendation for really good batteries for my good old SD1 M.
At that time I was adviced to try Wasabi batteries and charger, and I ordered two. But now the charger changes to green light after e few minutes, pretending that the accu has been loaded. But the camera says it isn't. The old original Sigma accus are still holding more capacity.
Therefore I'm seeking your advice. I'm looking for good quality, but not the price. I'm living in Germany, but I think the most gear can be ordered also in US or GB.
Many thanks!
Johannes
The wasabi so work ok but occasionally just die without warning. My advice bring lots of them!
