That's another beautiful frame Jim, really well done!

My wife wishes we lived closer to NOLA too (and I do too, just not with the same fervor as she). My wife's family is near Baton Rouge, so we're usually passing through NOLA at least twice a year. We used to go down every year for Jazzfest, but haven't gone in the past couple years for one reason or another. I still haven't been to Mardi Gras...

I like your NOLA gallery, thanks for sharing that. I think you perfectly captured the NOLA spirit with the second line behind the bride and groom at Jackson Square.

Ah, so you were here in Chicago then in the early 80s! I was likely a bit young while you were on the air, being born in 1980, but I have an older sister and I remember she'd always be listening to either B96 or Z95; do those ring a bell

FYI, if you do end up making it out here in August, "The Photographer's Guide to Chicago" e-book can be a great inspirational resource and help in planning some shots, available for free here:

They do require an email for the download link and will occasionally send something out about a conference; it's not at all spam-y and you can unsubscribe at any time. Also, feel free to drop me a message if there's anything with which I can help.

Hope this helps and I enjoyed browsing your galleries Jim!

Cheers,

Jake

Thanks for the link. I will take a look.  When I lived in Chicago I had just sold all my camera and darkroom gear. Never took any photos while in Chicago so getting back there will mean a target rich environment.
