Memories of days out and holidays...

A walk in the gardens of Anglesey Abbey...

The view towards Lode Mill - a functioning watermill. The waterway is the feed water for the mill race.

A couple of images from Paris, taken with a tiny little Canon Ixus...

Pat between the Shedu [Lamassu] in the Assyrian rooms of The Louvre - They are from Dur Sharrukin, which is modern-day Khorsabad, the capital of Sargon II

I hadn't noticed before, but the rectangular frame in the window at the back of the image is a security scanner and 3200 years ago that's what the Shedu did - stood guard over the entrance to a royal city. I don't think they had buzzers and flashing lights.
