The 5d IV and 7D II I'm in no hurry to replace, but it will happen eventually.

Buying the RP will give new dilemmas. RF 85mm f/1.2 IS or EF 85mm f/1.4? The first isn't usable with an OVF!!! To my eye this is a disadvantage, and not a small one. You might regret buying a size saving lens which can't be used with a mirror.....

As I've already got an f1.2 L II, which suits me perfectly, it's no dilemma at all.

Ah, that's wonderful!

The 28-70 f2 is very interesting for my conference work. None of the other lenses are overly compelling given what I have in EF - I already have every lens I need, so it's completely new lenses that attract me. And mostly, they will happen after i replace the 5D IV.

When i would have a bunch of EF glass and 5Dmk4  already i would buy the RP. You will have mirrorless AF for all your lenses, and there's always the 5Dmk4 for what the RP lacks. Looks like a no brainer to me. Of course you could wait for IBIS, but we all know this will come at a certain price tag.

If your facts are different we could save the peace just by calling it copy to copy variation.
