I cannot believe this simple fix. I was so ticked off at Pentax...still am, but my camera is working for now! Thank you, thank you.
My K30 still suffers of the aperture failure.
I didnt send it for service because my main body is a K3 and there is another issue on the K30: the tiny plastic part which holds the battery in place broke in 2017, one year after the guarrantee was over.
It still works fine because the battery compartement latch is strong enough to hold it in place.
Thus I keep it as a second body because I could not get much money if I tried to sell it.
My fix of the aperture issue is to force the aperture to close via the raw buttons, then shoot a high speed burst at f11 or f16 until the exposure is OK again.
But the failure comes back every other week.
Tatauzou,
I had exactly the same problem - but in my case, the battery clip of my K-30 failed 2 years before the aperture problem turned up (latter at about 5 years old). I think I'll finally fix both, as I prefer to use AA Lithium batteries, and the metal carrier for those batteries won't connect properly if the clip is broken.
My replacement camera was a K-70 and it failed too, with aperture block failure, after about 14 months. Not happy, to say the least, but I have warranty (2 years in Australia) so I am going to take advantage of that for the K-70 and (probably) submit the K-30 at the same time for repair. I really miss the wireless flash capability of the K-30, which I don't get in the K-70 (and I could not justify the much higher price of the K-P over the K-70 to get that function).

My K-30 also got its plastic battery clip broken 2 weeks ago. Wonder how did you fix it.
