how did you check for the dead pixel?
Lenscap on? And snapshot in EVF with the phone?
Had the same issue. I did the clean sensor Funktion from the menue and it was gone.
Thanks. Well if I use the lenscap on I did see one purple pixel, but I could not see it as a problem when I had the lenscap off, all was clear. Then I also did the clean sensor function and it disappeared. So it does not seem to be an EVF issue, more like dust on the sensor?
It's probably a bad pixel on the sensor. The sensor clean function also does a sensor remapping.
Hi - I just had the same thing a dead pixel (bright red) visible on any shot where that pixel was looking at a dark object. Doing the sensor clean function from the menu fixed it.....but if the above comment is correct, doesn't that just mean that the pixel *is* still actually dead, and the camera has learnt how to hide that from you? That doesn't seem like a very nice solution.
Thanks.
So - to follow up - no this isn't really "fixed" - it does seem like a bad in-software fix has been applied, as the dead pixel is non longer showing up as red, but is clearly still not working - here is a zoom in before and after doing sensor clean.
So..... how do you know how many really dead pixels are being (not very well) covered up?
thanks.
